Chef René is a dream come true for my family and me! I hate to cook and have struggled for 20 years to feed my picky husband and 3 kids. Now, Rene comes to my house and cooks 4 meals that I can serve over the following 4 nights. Her cooking is phenomenal, and she can do any kind of cuisine, from fabulous Italian meatballs, to Japanese inspired dishes, to French classics. She listens closely to your likes and dislikes. My husband and I hired Chef Rene to cook for a special Christmas Party dinner we were hosting for our close friends. We knew we wanted breakfast faire as our theme. Rene was very helpful in sorting through menu ideas, including our own recipes ( which she had never made before) as well as her own in the final menu. She was also super flexible when it came to working with us on our budget. Everything tasted great our guests complimented us on all the delicious -- and beautiful --food! My husband and I hired Rene to create make-ahead meals for our family of four on a weekly basis and for special gatherings and parties as well. She consistently filled our fridge with creative and mouth-watering food that we eat through out the week and we just loved. We soon realized we were saving a lot of money by eating at home instead of dining out or ordering take-out --and that we eating much more healthy food and losing weight to boot. I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Chef Rene . I hired Rene to cook for my retired husband Will and myself. I really enjoy cooking and have high standards when it comes to food freshness and preparation, but there comes a time when the saner choice is needed. So that is when Rene enters our story. Rene is extremely versatile as a chef and is a fabulous baker. She is extremely flexible regarding recipes and food preferences and is attentive to subtle texture and flavor combinations. For example, she can create desert that really sings with fresh fruit flavor (not excessive sugar) or a dish of perfectly cooked enchiladas that can be frozen and reheated several times without becoming dry or mushy. Yes, we are now spoiled! We highly recommend her- Rebecca F.
Rene has demonstrated excellent ability and skill during her tenure as the our chef. Her main duties and responsibilities included menu planning, preparation, and serving of daily breakfast and lunch including salads, soups, hot and cold sauces, and main courses including pork, poultry, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Other responsibilities included monitoring and controlling wastage; and portion control on a day-to-day basis. She has also been responsible for ensuring food safety and kitchen sanitation as per the norms; food ordering and kitchen maintenance; and ensured the food meets specifications and is of highest ingredient quality. Rene is an extremely talented chef capable of creating a broad variety of dishes for day-to-day enjoyment. Both the children and grown-ups of our School have absolutely loved her food. She is also knowledgeable about organic, healthy diets and punctual and hard working. I warmly recommend Rene as a chef- Jyri E.
Rene was hired to be our private chef in December 2008. Rene is a very talented cook and a fabulous baker. She created food that was always fresh and very flavorful. I looked forward to coming home to enjoy the daily meals she made for us. My wife Chris and I have very different food preferences. I am following a restricted diet that prohibits red meat that is designed to keep my cholesterol in check. Rene managed to keep us both healthy and happy. She also introduced us to some new dishes she also developed some especially for us. I remember Rene made a quiche with smoked salmon, my favorite food, for a weekend brunch we were hosting in our home in Bolinas. Hot Dog! Our friends are still talking about it. I Every Monday evening Rene catered a special party for the 8 members of my band. One of the musicians was a strict vegan, but that did not faze Rene. She always created something special for him, which he loved. It was a pleasure having her as our chef- Warren H.
